The Church of Christ dates back to the first century of the New Testament (Romans 16:16).
It was founded by Christ on the Day of Pentecost, A.D. 33, just ten days after His ascension back to heaven.
In the years that followed it rapidly grew to fill Jerusalem,
then Judea , Samaria , and finally the whole Roman Empire (Acts 1:8; Colossians 1:23).

It was first established in America in the late 1700s, up in the New England states.

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:15 & 16

"WHO CARES ABOUT ME?"
by Charlie Kymes

Sometimes life forces us to rediscover who we really are. Tragic and hurtful circumstances in life leave us with nothing to hide behind. When we go through the fiery trials of life, we find out our true character. How comfortable are we with ourselves when our true self is exposed? We don't have anything to offer God but who we really are - - warts and all.

The great message that we have to carry to others is that God loves us not because of what we do or what we accomplish ... but he loves us because He is a God of love who created us to be loved and redeemed by Him. Just as our is a God of love, His followers are to be people of love. We are to tell others about God who loves us unconditionally.

Here are the questions that the world is asking,
(1) "Who cares about me?"
(2) "Who will love me for who I really am?"
(3) "Who wants to be with me when I fail miserably?"
